WHO WE ARE

Families Need Families is a group of local families who help other families in our community that are struggling and in need. Due to the failures of our federal and local governments to adequately address the immigration crisis, dozens of migrant families have been moved into hotels in our communities where they face many challenges.

In these hotels, each family lives in a room and they do not have any means of storing or cooking food. They are not permitted to bring food into their rooms. Instead, there is a common area where they can use a microwave and have limited access to a community fridge. As mothers, many would love to cook a home cooked meal for their children but they are unable to. Also they are limited in help from local food pantries since they have no means to store food or to cook anything besides a microwave.
